A. Prices on the vehicles vary dependent on type of vehicle chosen, our most affordable cars are our range of small/medium cars.
Q2. Do you offer liability reduction?
A. Yes, you can reduce your liability excess down to $550 by purchasing our excess reduction package for $19/day.
Q3. Do you offer a shuttle service to Ballina Byron Gateway Airport?
A. Yes. We offer shuttle transfers from Ballina Airport to our depot in Byron Bay. Within 20 minutes of landing and collecting your luggage, you can be behind the wheel of your rental car, ready to start your Byron Bay holiday. A small fee applies.
Q4. Do you offer a shuttle service to Gold Coast Airport?
A. Yes. You can book a one-way or return shuttle from Gold Coast Airport to our depot in Byron Bay when you make your booking. A small fee applies.
Q5. Do you hire baby seats?
A. Byron Bay Rentacar can hire you baby seats & booster seats as safety is paramount, however customers are required to fit these themselves for legal reasons.
Q6. What drivers licence do I need?
A. Minimum age for drivers is 18 and must have held their licence for at least 1 year. We accept Australian drivers licences, P platers (green or red), international licences. Foreign drivers licences needs to have certified translation.
Q7. Are there any restrictions as to where I can drive?
A. Byron Bay Rentacar allow our vehicles to travel anywhere within a 250km radius from Byron Bay. Vehicles travelling outside of this area will breach terms and conditions of contract and roadside assist etc will be void.
Q8. What should I do if I break down?
A. Call Byron Bay Rentacar first on 0437 628 121 followed by NRMA so we can organise roadside assist.
Q9. What should I do if I get a parking fine in Byron Bay?
A. Byron Bay has paid parking, in the event of any parking fines, speeding fines, toll fines and any infringements whatsoever it is important that you notify Byron Bay Rentacar immediately. All infringements incur an $88 admin fee and initial infringement is redirected to customer.
Q10. Do I need to return vehicle with full tank of fuel?
A. Yes you need to return vehicle with full tank of unleaded to avoid any fees and charges.
Q11. Is there a minimum hire period?
A. There is NO minimum hire period. Our rates are based on a 24 hour hire period with vehicles expected to be returned at the same time of day as they were picked up.
Q12. Do I need to clean the vehicle before returning?
A. Yes you need to wash and vacuum vehicle before returning to avoid any additional fees and charges.
Q13. Will I be charged for extra Km’s per day?
A. No, you have unlimited Km’s per day.
Q14. Can I get a refund if I pick up the vehicle late or drop it back early?
A. No, there is no refund given under these circumstances. However, we do provide a Credit on future hires with Byron Bay Rentacar if you choose to return your vehicle early.
Q15. Do you provide refunds for cancellations?
A. We have a strict NO REFUND policy. If you are unable to take up your booking or end it before the designated date for whatever reason, we can offer you a Credit on future hires with Byron Bay Rentacar.
Q16. What do I need to bring to collect the car?
A. You will need to bring your drivers license and credit card with you when collecting your vehicle. Please also bring along a copy of your booking confirmation email either on your phone or a printed copy.
