Prices on the vehicles vary dependent on type of vehicle chosen. Our most affordable cars are our range of secondhand cars.

Yes, we offer two levels of liability reduction:

Partial: for $19 per day you can reduce your liability excess down to $550.

Full: for $29 per day you can reduce your liability excess down to $1.

Our standard cover provides insurance with a $3000 excess.

We have a strict NO REFUND policy. If you are unable to take up your booking or end it before the designated date for whatever reason, we can offer you a Credit on future hires with Byron Bay Rent-A-Car.

Yes. We offer free shuttle transfers from Ballina Airport to our local Ballina depot. Within 5 minutes of landing and collecting your luggage, you can be behind the wheel of your rental car, ready to start your holiday.

Simply choose Ballina Airport as your pickup location when booking online, and one of our drivers will send you a text to organise your pickup.

Yes. For a small relocation fee, we will deliver your rental car to you at Gold Coast Airport. Simply select this option when booking online. Our team will contact you 2-3 hours before your flight to arrange a convenient location for you to collect your vehicle.

Byron Bay Rent-A-Car can hire you baby seats & booster seats as safety is paramount, however customers are required to fit these themselves for legal reasons.

There is NO minimum hire period. Our rates are based on a 24 hour hire period with vehicles expected to be returned at the same time of day as they were picked up.

Minimum age for drivers is 18. We accept Australian driver's licences, P platers (green or red) and international licences. Foreign driver's licences need to have certified translations.

You will need to bring your drivers license and credit card with you when collecting your vehicle. Please also bring along a copy of your booking confirmation email either on your phone or a printed copy.

No, you have unlimited kms per day.

Byron Bay Rent-A-Car allow our vehicles to travel anywhere within a 250km radius from Byron Bay. Vehicles travelling outside of this area will breach terms and conditions of contract and roadside assist will be void.

Call Byron Bay Rent-A-Car first on 0437 628 121 followed by NRMA so we can organise roadside assist.

Byron Bay has paid parking. In the event of any parking fines, speeding fines, toll fines and any infringements whatsoever it is important that you notify Byron Bay Rent-A-Car immediately. All infringements incur an $88 admin fee and the initial infringement will be redirected to the customer.

Yes, you need to wash and vacuum your vehicle before returning to avoid any additional fees and charges.

Yes. If you pick up your rental car from our Ballina depot, for example, you are welcome to return it to our Byron Bay depot, and vice versa.

You can select your pick-up and drop-off locations at the time of booking.

There are no additional fees for this service at our Byron Bay and Ballina Depots.

If you choose to return or pick-up your vehicle at Gold Coast Airport a small relocation fee applies.

No, there is no refund given under these circumstances. However, we do provide a Credit on future hires with Byron Bay Rent-A-Car if you choose to return your vehicle early.
